As of 12/31/08 I've only used it a few times. I will update this section if I find any issues with the batteries; I bought 2 ;-)

Comment: It only took 150 also shots for the first battery. They shipped a new one, but it seems to get half indicator on my camera after 100 shots.

Summary: Long-life battery alternative to Canon OE model
Comment: Decided to give these a try due to the huge cost savings over the Canon OE equiv battery. So far, excellent performance, long battery life, charge quickly.
This week, I shot 1/2 of JV baskeball game and the entire varsity game. Camera was on for 3 straight hours and I shot 300+ frames during the games. Then, went out in the cold and shot birds for another 2 hours. After uploading all pics, the battery level still shows full.
These were a great, low-cost alternative to the OE Canon batteries. The cost-savings aspect makes this truly a no-brainer purchase.

Summary: It was almost close to kill my precious memories
Comment: I purchased this item on Aug. 17. 08. but didn't have to use it because I have several BP 511 batteries. The reason I bought this was to keep it as a back up when I need.
A week ago, my wife gave a birth to a new baby. I wanted to take some pictures to keep that moment as a permanant memories. in the morning of the due day, I fully charged this battery and went to a hospital. After I got to the hospital, I turned on my camera, but it didn't work at all. I touched my camera here and there, but I wasn't able to figure out what's wrong with it. As a last resort, I changed the battery to another one that I brought, an then finally my camera started working.
If I hadn't brought another battery, it could have killed all my precious memories that I didn't want to miss any of those.
I threw it away right away. I know it's my fault not to check whether or not the battery was working well at the time of delivery, but it was a really embarrassing experience.
There are many reviews saying that they are well satisfied with the item, but I just wanted say to the people want to buy this product you guys need to check the battery whether or not it is working as soon as you receive it not to miss any of important moments you want to keep.
