The motion sensor works great (turns on when you are less than 10 ft. away). Emits plenty of light. Highly recommend them and for the price ($15 each), nothing can compare. The hostel I was staying in normally has lights but the rowdy guests broke every bulb in the place. I left this out & it worked for a while until some drunk Germans tore it out.
