Editorial Reviews:

Charge your laptop and your cell phone from the same outlet... a must-have for frequent travelers. Travel Liberator cord features a "Y" splitter that takes power from one outlet and sends it to two. The laptop versions are specially designed to accommodate 2-prong and 3-prong power adapters, reducing the number of cords you need to carry.

Summary: DEFECTIVE! MISWIRED! SAFETY HAZARD!
Comment: I bought four Y adapters at the same time from this seller, two of this ASIN (B000FPQO9Q) and two of ASIN B000234UFG. The four adapters that arrived are identical in appearance and have the same defect (described below). So the seller in my case definitely used a common make & model to fulfill orders for both ASIN's.

All four Y adapters are consistently miswired: Each connects the plug's HOT blade to the receptacles' NEUTRAL slots and the plug's NEUTRAL blade to the receptacles' HOT slot. This presents a genuine, 2nd-order safety hazard.

I discovered the defect on the first of the four adapters the hard way: by getting shocked! For the other three, I used a test meter to confirm that they were likewise miswired.
